Probably want the turret in a place that has 360 view based on the devs notes, it seems you’ll be dealing with enemies from every angle. Also, exploring the whole map next video would be cool. Can’t wait for full release of this game!

That's a great spot for a turret, as you can fire at drones from wider angles and keep them in the crosshairs longer as they move around. It's also an excellent vantage point. If only you could control the train while using the turret.

You can use the Scroll Wheel to adjust how far the object you are building is from you. That is the reason you had an interesting time building the train.

Just started watching this series. I think the idea of multiple floors sounds good.... but the first tunnel will turn it into a convertible

My idea for the "solar panels are can only be placed on floor" scenario is, that maybe it is later possible in battles to get things on your train destroyed. So the solarpanels, too. So my idea was to make a second floor but surround it with only glass and then put there the solar panel(s). So in theory they should be able to charge while being inside and safe from possible attacks.

Might be smart, for when you play this in the future, to make 1st floor (or level) all glass. So whether you go forward or backwards you have a clear view, as opposed to running to the back to judge when to stop. Also, could you share any info you have on this game? Like when it will be a full release, what the dev has in mind for its developments? Things us non game player don't know but would like to know because we watch you vids. Did you ever think if you go too high you might not be able to pass most tunnels?

Was thinking that too. Hopefully we can acquire more platforms or even build them. Looking at the Blueprints you can eventually put in your Fabricators; and between Engines and Fabricators and Storage plus the Solar Panels and Turret(Icicle) I would hope in full game we can get more platforms :)

use the scroll wheel. It will make placing things WAY easier since you can be far enough away to actually see if it lines up.

Storage cases have a limit to how much they can hold. I think the drones when the storage unit is full.

I really want to see you go as high as possible and see what happens if you attempt to take this in the cave. Maybe it will fit. Maybe it won't be a good experiment to know your do's and don'ts Plus attack a friendly drone too. Save beforehand. So just see you can't add 3rd floor. I'm guessing the game knows that you can put a 3rd floor caught it would collide with the ceiling of the entrance of either caves or the stations that you have to pull inside too. My guessing.

I believe it won't let you put things on the second story roof bc you wouldn't be able to go through the tunnels (I could be wrong lol)

You found that 2 stories high is the limit. What about width? Not that it would look super great but would be nice to know if you can build out the sides more buy building a floor wider. It's currently 2 tiles wide. Could you place a floor half over the first floor wall making the upper level 3 tiles wide? I'm just curious about building limitations and seeing what's possible.

You can't build outside of the base footprint. Outside lights leave it on a technicality

​@@ou7shined972there's the issue surrounding the size of the tunnels as to how tall/wide you can build up the train... your play through would be over if you could build up more than 2 floors and got to the 2 story high tunnel, same too getting to a single train tunnel and you've built out 2/3 train widths out. Let's just enjoy (eventually, when there's the release date)the game for what it will be rather than wishing to build a base that wouldn't work in game.

@7dtdfil730 Yep. I'm pretty sure we will be able to add new trucks to expand our bases forwards and backwards - the front one has the same connector plate that joins our current 2 together... probably the same at the back too (I never looked)

Im on the fence with these train survival games. I need a good reason to get off the train. Grabbing bits of lore a mats isnt enough for me.

Yeah I would too. Unlike most other building games the windows are actually cheaper than walls, so no reason not to.

Its gonna suck when you're not able to drive the train in the tunnels from the height of the train
