I love the quiet, fast-forward moments with the construction. Manor Lords does have one of the better looking construction cycles that I've seen in a long while.

This is actually an insane start! Every video of this game I saw, they had to move all of their supplies far far away, but you got to build right where you are. Must be Herman diff! I gotta say, for the family system in this game, I wish it was a little bit more like Lords and Villeins, where you can have different sized families instead of just two people in every single one. So you can have one big family supplying lumber to the whole village, but on a different run you may not have a family big enough so you have to assign two. It just adds so much more gameplay and depth. It would be such a cool feature! And I vote yes for the day/night cycle. Maybe some people don't like it for min-max reasons or something, but we are going for immersion on this channel! Am I right?

Yes totally agree Herman is ruining the balance of this game 😂 and such a good point on different sized families that would create so many cool mechanics interactions later like you’ve suggested! I guess the game is still early on in development so lots to come yet 🤞I’m also a big fan of day/night for immersion!

This is just what I needed today. I love watching the construction of the buildings. As far as day/night cycle, I would think that most of the time when you were building you could keep it on daytime, but occasionally have a night view to enjoy the ambiance, as well as village walkthroughs at ground level. I am so thrilled you are doing another series. I love your intelligent commentary, and the joy you bring to it. It really is appreciated.

I love the way you're doing the village this time, with all its curves and character, the fact that you're going to go solo with being totally self-sufficient and you've got the decent opposition of the baron and then of course the bandits! I also love the way that you show the buildings being built up close because I also love the detail and in terms of day/night cycles I much prefer to see them! Please, please do more of this soon and for maybe an hour at a time each instead?

Great episode mate. Hope you enjoy playing, Devs are putting in good work & the game as a bright future. A few tips/reminders as I know you've played before. If you're not interested in them then by all means you don't have to read mate, hope you enjoy your playthrough with the updates either way. Because that's all that matters & what makes the content much more enjoyable for us to watch. As you mentioned big backyards for Veggie patches is the go. Other backyard upgrades don't really need the length but don't forget to make homes a bit on the wider side so you can fix that extra hovel space, helps build your pop without extra housing. Having someone on the Ox I don't think directly gives a speed boost, however it does mean you have someone to take the ox without having someone from each place going to get it then bring it back to say the lumber yard instead of them cutting down trees. So dealers choice. If I remember correctly both the Lumber yard & the Wood cutter for firewood both cut down trees, so having them next to each other can cause issues later on with supply. - Double check that one memory is a bit hazy on it. Also when doing farms although it may be tempting, try not to make each field a massive field as you need to remember how long it would take people to plow, seed & harvest. The Ox addition you can get sometimes can actually slow down as although it's quick that a human, it's 1 human and an Ox vs having multiple people working that field so can sometimes end up slower depending on your pop.
