Kagutsuchi (Low Level, Hard, Extra Enemy Turn) - SMT Nocturne HD

Rules:
- EXP gain must be minimised, limited to forced encounters where possible
- Using Bright Might or Dark Might for guaranteed crits is forbidden
- Use of demons from the Maniax/Chronicle release is forbidden (This includes Fiends, Beelzebub, Black Frost, Futomimi, Metatron, Sakahagi and Dante/Raidou)
- The goal is to collect all Magatama and achieve the True Demon Ending
Kagutsuchi is the final boss for all endings except the Demon and True Demon endings. He has magic of all elements and his attacks do almighty damage. Each turn the Kagutsuchi phase will continue to cycle and his strength increases proportionally to the current phase. In his first form the only attack of note he has is Vast Light which he can only cast when the phase is full. His second form is much more impressive. In his second form he gains access to Dragon Eye, Dekunda and Dekaja, his normal attack hits your whole team and Vast Light gets upgraded to Infinite Light which can only reasonably be survived if your buffs and debuffs are maxed out or close to it. Thankfully he always wastes a turn with a dramatic declaration to indiciate that he will use Infinite Light on the next turn. As long as you keep on top of the buffs he's generally quite manageable. In this particular run he chose to do nothing but Infinite Light over and over again. Curiously he was able to use Dekunda after it once and only once. I don't know what to make of this, I've seen enough weirdness in this run as it is.

To anyone seeing this when it comes out, Lucifer is proving to be a lot tougher than I thought. I've had to resort to using Mitama fusion and Incenses to buff my team's Vitality. I'm going to attempt it again tomorrow, hopefully with more success this time.

Its very weird to me how uncommon it seems to be then. I've never seen him use Dekaja before but I do trust that he has it.

@@ZephhyrAgain I mean, if you ever see Kagutuschi Dekaja, that means he's just used one of his ultimate moves, and you had no debuffs on him at all, which on hard mode usually means you're dead immediately unless you're overlevelled or running Life Surge. At that point surviving to see him Dekaja would be a rarity - and on challenge runs like low level don't even think about it. I've only seen it once.
