Sujoy Ghosh did not write Badla. It is an official remake of Contratiempo (spanish movie). It is a scene to scene copy of the original with just the gender if the main characters switched.

The acting was very good by all the main actors however there's a very huge flaw. No person with the same condition as Big B's character in this grows to his size which is over 6 feet. They hardly grow to the size of a 10 year old.
