I had a feeling you of all people would appreciate the profundity and beauty of Gibran's words here Greg. And Swamaji's music is like a loving angel gently guiding and holding us in our transition through the bardo of death. So sublime indeed. Such a beautiful death. ❤

Ah, the vitality of death, equally significant to birth, the wonder and glory in all that we are.

I did not begin listening to this beautiful and profound poet until just this year, at 25. He came into my life at a time of great distress for me and truly lifted my spirit in a very living and prevailing way. Truly, one of the greatest poets to ever live. Thank you for sharing this one with us, it gave me great peace. Always grateful for your videos 🙏🏼

Yes, Khalil Gibran's book The Prophet is so beautiful. He has so many beautiful works that really soften my heart and unty the sharp thoughts in my mind.

At eighteen years of age, Khalil Gibran’s poetry was my door to The Mystical, and it opened a new life for me. To hear you read this wonder of language is pure bliss. 🙏

It may sound morbid, but it's not: I think about death every day. But not as much as I ought to. . I try to always remember this body is not me and it will soon be dust. And what will I be then? What was I before this physical form?

This is really nice. I'm glad that I found your channel. I love that your words silence the mind and open my heart. I have been writing nonfiction for the last few years even though I used to love writing poetry. I want to shift the detached, hyper-analytical writing to authentic emotional expression. I feel it may free me from some of this dissociation over time. Your words are beautiful. You inspired me today.

Must embrace everything as it's the price we pay when we enter this world
@SamaneriJayasara4 жыл бұрын
We never truly enter this world - we only dream we do. As Gibran is saying, he is returning to that world he never left - which we can never truly leave. That is the recognition we need to awaken to in order to release ourselves from the dream and delusion of birth and death here and now.

I promise this: the moment you lay dying will not be sometime in the future. It will be RIGHT NOW when it happens. Therefore it's a very good idea to be mentally prepared for that!
@otterrivers37653 жыл бұрын
think about it. imagine RIGHT NOW you lay dying. Not as some idea of the future. Right now! Do you feel at peace with this? . If not, then preparation should be a huge priority. . It is 100% guaranteed, and that you will be in this situation "right now" as actual reality. . People say they understand but they will wait til death comes closer to begin preparing. But we have no idea when this will happen. The only promise is it is guaranteed to happen and it will be experienced as NOW. Just as immediate as this moment. . This is not morbidity. It is completely practical.

Dear Samaneri, Beautiful! Thank you so much fit this! Also I found a book named “On my way to Infinity: A Seeker’s Poetic Pilgrimage” by an author named Amogh Swamy very interesting with all the wonderful comtemplative illustrations complementing each poem. I feel you might like it too! Also would love to hear this from you…🤗 Thanks again for doing this lovely video, very fulfilling, love the bgm flute❤
