Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet?

QUESTION: Hi there Kim. You mention from time to time how you came across a book when you were young that sparked your interest in spirituality.
I had a similar experience in my early twenties (I am now 70)! The book was The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran and I wondered if you have ever read this book and if so, what your thoughts are on it.
Later I found a recording where parts of the book were set to music and narrated by Richard Harris (I enclose a link if you want to listen to it!)
Your teachings have confirmed to me the essence of this beautiful book!
You continue to make a huge impact on me every day as I slowly make my way back home!

"Autobiography of a Yogi" awakened a love for mature spirituality in me, and I found it by Kim recommending it. However, my favorite spiritual book of all time is "My lives with Lucifer, Satan, Hitler, and Jesus", by Kim Michaels. Is not a book for everyone, but if you are able to grasp it, the learning available in this work is impressive, and captivating.

"Where do you go from there?" at some point I started feeling that I have been wasting time reading books that 'inspire'. Many a times they end up pacifying us instead of nudging us onto the spiritual path. Found AM teachings only a year after I started doing practical techniques.

My understanding of Spalding's book is that it isn't authentic, in the sense of a true report. The teachings it contains can be valid regardless, of course.
