Been looking at the CT 45 and the CW 45 and 40, but I have enough extra magazines, have 2/ 1911a1 45 acp and several 40 s&w pistols, like the kahr 40 and 45 pistols , but if will be the 45 acp first, have the magazines and don't have to get any more 7/8/and 10 shot, but like the cw pistol more

This brand often flies under the radar. But people who’ve had em know what I mean about it being everything you could want in a defensive pistol.

This was my first gun. Its honestly AWESOME. Its like a sexier Glock. Shoots 45acp, is nice and short, AND never jams. Plus its accurate as hell. I love it. I never heard of Kahr either, but they make some damn good pistols.

Your local gun dealer gave you quite a deal on that .45. You definitely got me intrigued when you said it takes 1911 mags.

If I hadn’t already bought a few guns from him before this one I would have been really suspicious. But I suppose he was in a selling mood. And he knew me well enough that he had confidence he could get me to buy.

Yeah. I see what you mean. It’s kind of like it lacks personality. Works great and deserves more attention and praise than it gets but just never seems to be John Wicks first choice. 🤔

Supposedly the ACT 7rd Officers 45 mag is the best CW45 aftermarket mag, upping the capacity by one round, normal lock back function, unbreakable metal no tilt follower, nicely shaped combat-style base pad, and requires no forward feed lip clearance modification to function in the CW45. Some other brand Officers mags forward of the feed lips will impinge the CW45 extractor or slide and require minor modification. Others may not lock back reliably or nose up jam.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm I purchased 3 ACT 7rd Officers mags in case I buy a CW45 and in the meantime they will also work in my Colt Lightweight Officers Model. I read dozens of posts on Kahr message boards and the ACT mag comes highly recommended for the reasons I posted earlier. So although I can't report my own function testing in a CW45, I can confirm that these mags have top notch materials and build quality. For example the mag bodies are made from seamless unwelded tube stock, so smooth inside and out and very strong. The supposedly top of the line Wilson Combat 47 mags are made from sheet metal stock with an inferior rear welded seam design.

Wow nice find!! The days of sellers chasing u down with half price deals prob over for a while tho. You bought under Trump times. Love the look and simplicity. Trigger reminds me of a Sccy Cpx2. I dont have any 1911 mags so not super tempting presently. But down the road if I found for under 250 wud. Enjoyed the review as always Max.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm Yeah at least we got a WIN today. The "Stay In Mexico" act Trump put in was held up in Supreme Court. Never got Bidens thinking. Hes so concerned about Covid yet he wanted to open the border and let millions of illegals without health checks go sweeping over the country. Brilliant fellow. But for now his plans have been set back. BTW how is the accuracy on that Kahr? Love that sythentic with ss parts look. Are all the inside guts ss?

Outstanding review. Others have knocked the trigger but I would want a long trigger pull on a pistol without a safety. I’m extraordinarily interested. I currently carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II 3” which I like but loaded it’s like 33 or 34 Oz loaded and this looks way lighter with equal or greater capacity. Just a great review from someone who apparently knows 45ACP pistols. Thanks.

guns with safeties get users killed! in an ambush panic fumbling a safety plus finding the trigger plus aiming takes too long! this trigger is life saving! just train with it. 25 oz. loaded! it won't pull your pants down! lol

Wow, you got a screaming deal on this. I got a CW9 about nine years ago for somewhere around $300. Like everyone else in the comments, I do like the gun, especially the trigger, but I almost never shoot it. I've carried it in the past, but I have no problem carrying full size pistols, so it's in a weird in-between spot for me that doesn't really serve a purpose.
@MaxHeadspace9mm2 жыл бұрын
Well I guess I can relate. In the winter full size pistols are easy to carry. I like to carry the largest pistol I can. And in the summer I sometimes carry a 380 Glock 42. So this sits right in the middle. But it can do anything a full size pistol can do. But it’s a bit smaller and surprisingly thin for a 45. If it were $450 I never would have found out how much I like it🤔

@@MaxHeadspace9mm the proprietary expensive 6 round mag with the protruding base plate that pokes at everything suck. 1911 mags don't lock back reliably, but feed (some100%). Pick a reliable one, lock it in topped off, scribe the body at the end of the grip, strip the mag and cut it. Reconnect the base plate with the new angle and length. Long time ago, yet I believe I cut a turn out of the spring, trimmed the follower to allow for 7 rounds. I started with a surplus military colt magazine.
