I relate to the young girl crying. When my son was 3, I was really upset about Kim being in jail and no females rapping anymore. My friend told me about a girl named Nicki Miraj that was about to change the game. I was like who's Nicki Miraj. So we went to the little Chinese store to buy burnt dvds from behind the till and he pulled out a box of mixtape cds and one featured Nicki. I bought 3 different mixtape cds and was introduced to an icon in the making. Got every one of her cds. For somebody who grew up to Wayne, Manny Fresh, Juvenile,BG and Cash money, I was overjoyed that she was signed by Wayne and young money was born. Decades passed and tbh her music, especially The Pink Print which I played as I drove over many miles, was the soundtrack to my life with my young son. I never got the opportunity to see her live as I was always working or in school. Yesterday, the ticket add popped up on my phone and my Grandpa gifted me one ticket to the Pink Friday 2 tour here in Toronto. Soon as I got my ticket master confirmation and bar code I honestly burst into tears and couldn't stop screaming YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH20 years I waited for this yesssssssssss. My neighbors even messaged me to ask what was going on. I explained how I was going to see the Queen of rap Nicki minaj and they all said yessssss girl u deserve it and the concerts going to be lit. I'm happy I'm going solo too. I'm pretty old-school so I won't spend the whole concert recording. I'll take a few pics and small videos but I already know I'm going to be watching, rapping along to all the lyrics of pf2 and the other classics and I'm going to cry my ass off. See I don't give a shit about streams or blogger opinions, music changes lives and brings healing and that's what she's done for me and so many others. I actually can't believe I'm going to see her live. Fuck yessssssss ❤ oh and my sons turning 22 this year, wish he could attend but he's away working and living his life. ❤
