I'm a die hard Helloween fan and I have to say... this is by far one of the best interviews I've seen of Kai Hansen. Your questions were great, unique and interesting. Far better than the journalists that are asking the same questions these last couple of years, making every interview sound the same. I'm glad you asked for his thoughts on the Post Kai era of Helloween. Great job man. Subscribed!

Thank you! That means so much! I knew I had to ask some of the questions like how's the tour going and stuff on the new album. But being a car page I wanted to ask him some car questions, and ya I've never heard his take on some of the post Kai albums. And I had the awesome opportunity to hang out with him for about a hour before starting and I have to say he is a delight. Super cool guy. Thank you for subscribing!

My childhood hero! Walls of Jericho and EP blew my teenager mind. Record was raw and uncontrolled, but full of passion and timeless creativity with Kai on the vocals. Helloween getting together is like some long desired dream come true. Hope the guys can maintain this fellowship for a long, because they all belong together.

Walls of Jericho is amazing. And I think they will, everyone seams happy on stage, as mentioned in the interview Michael and Andi get along really well and they are jumping back into the studio to make a new album. I think we will see this lineup for a very long time

I met Kai and dirk after their 2006 Gamma Ray concert in Melbourne, Australia. He is really that cool in person. He doesn’t have that “arrogance” of some lead singers that I have met before( Mille from Kreator comes to mind). Just a legend of a bloke.

Kai Hansen has always been my favorite Helloween member. In my opinion he has written the best Helloween songs including Skyfall. He is one of the greatest songwriters ever in my opinion. His other band Gamma Ray is also amazing and love them big time. I have seen all my favorite bands accept Helloween and Gamma Ray. They are the only two bands left on my bucket list. He's completely right about the "down turn on the computer". Kids, don't turn on apps, or your phone either. Use your imagination, try out playing your instruments from scratch, play together, create unique roots before you turn on your digital resources. Too many bands today are weak because they started playing through phone apps. That ain't metal.
@metalheadcarshow Жыл бұрын
I do agree with him, but these bands do still exist. A band playing through amps and real drums isn't a thing of the past. Just more bands need to keep doing that. Once saw a black metal band play a set with a Guitarist, bassist and a laptop. No vocals ether. Eztreanly weak set
@WALDENSOFTWARE Жыл бұрын
@@metalheadcarshow I mean't when they buy a guitar for example and turn to an app to start learning. They kill their roots like that. Bands of the past turned into uniwue musicians because they didn't have an app sterilizing their style at the beginning of their learning their instrument.

I half agree with you. Personally I think Time Of The Oath and Gamble With The Devil are some of Helloweens Best. And stronge albums. But with that said my top 3 are the 80s Keeper albums and Helloween. He's absolutely a metal icon and befits Helloween though
@MichaelHolmgaard Жыл бұрын
Weikath wrote as many classic songs as Kai though. To me it's a band where those two are equals - Especially because of the way they compliment each other's styles
@scottblack9213 Жыл бұрын
@@MichaelHolmgaard not really
@MichaelHolmgaard Жыл бұрын
@@scottblack9213 That is fact though. Weikath was as much part of the Helloween vision. Eagle Fly Free, Dr Stein, Keeper of the Seven Keys, Rise and Fall, A Tale That Wasn't Right, How Many Tears etc. Those are all classics that Weikath wrote while Kai was in the band. He was the one who insisted that Helloween hired Michael Kiske when Kai wanted Ralf Scheepers instead. Their producer from the early days, Tommy Hansen, also stated that Weikath was the true mastermind behind Helloween from the beginning. I am not taking anything away from Kai, who has been a crucial developer of the power metal genre, but you shouldn't downplay Weikath's influence when it comes to Helloween's success.
