I get the Sanji thing with him being a robot who's not supposed to feel anything but he's a failed experiment for removing emotions from someone. It's very possible in my eyes that somewhere in the genes splicing they did that they crossed some wires to the point where he literally can't hold back his emotions in any capacity. I also believe based on how he was treated in the very beginning of One piece that him being a robot changed into was supposed to be a robot somewhere along the way of Oda expanding on his world as he built it.

The fact that Sanji is an imperfect character just makes me love him more, and although I see that his gag has crossed the line a few times, I am often more bothered by it by knowing how most people will react to them rather than the gag itself. It's been over 1000 episodes, we know how he is, and we know where it comes from. And honestly, if you read between the lines, even the worse times can be explained in a kinder way than what usually people do (the bathhouse was mixed gender to begin with, there's no way he wanted the clear clear fruit to perve as a child, he was a child, he wanted to be invisible for other, quite evident reasons) The good obviously outweighs the bad for me, and the bad makes him feel more human

The 2nd one abt the clear clear fruit is a theory, but canonically thats not the case. I doubt oda had every part of his backstory planned at that point. If sanji r@ped someone would you not care because he has more good moments and him doing that is more human? Because he DOES sexually assault nami when he changes into her body, and im sure there is more examples of that. And if r@pe makes you look at sanji weird, why when he sexually assaults people you can excuse under the umbrella that it makes him more human? I think there is plenty of ways to make a character have flaws that dont involve sexually harassing women.

As to why Sanji is written the way he is. The general consensus i have seen, via other One Piece youtubers and on reddit, is that Oda just writes writes what he thinks is cool or funny. The Sanji perv gag just falls into the "Funny" category for Oda, so he writes it. This is conjecture, bt it makes sense with how Oda tends to write his other gags for characters.

Sanji is definitely used for oda to get out some immature jokes, not gonna pretend thats not the case. but looking over that he is also super complex and the epitome of one piece character writing having weaknesses to each person just as much as strengths. I am of the opinion that he should never change out of his weird act around woman because that just is what defines him. Its not like he doesnt respect those ladies either, quite the opposite actually. His growth in the series is about overcoming his trauma and accepting the help for situations he just cant handle on his own. Literally the exact thing he told Usopp in Enies lobby but never managed to display himself (The kalifa situation was bad not because he couldnt fight her, it was bad that he didnt run and got nami in the first place)

Gotta remind people that Zoro is supposedly an ordinary human, and by that I mean, his body is in human form with no devil fruits, just special skills acquired through training. And him (and Killer) being there with the three captains with devil fruits is highly commendable. Not to mention, in that whole fight with Kaido in the rooftop, he was not just there to exist, he performed and did even more damage to a yonko than Kid and Law. I love Luffy, and I acknowledge that he's the main star in every arc but gotta say Luffy just met my expectation in Wano, Zoro exceeded it.
