Roof Piece is chapter 1000 of the manga.(Anime doesn't adapt it till 1015) Oda is crazy in how he will often lineup absolutely mad events with anniversaries and specific chapter numbers. Though yes 1015 is one of the best episodes ever, arguably the best episode of the entire series, with some of the best animation as well.

I mean, I could see that. Authors writing themselves in a hole is nothing new. You can probably put normal people as main characters in impossible traps easily and find it difficult to think of a satisfying way they could escape. Kaido obviously seems like that kind of impossible trap Oda created where the Straw Hat alliance don’t seem to have a good counter for all the abilities Oda wrote for Kaido, and giving the Straw Hats an “anti-Kaido button” would be stupid and would ruin the tension, but what else could you really do? Anyway, I just got to this episode, so no spoilers thanks.

Frankys VA retired due to health issues. You will start to hear the strain in his voice later end of wano and through egghead. They also started cutting down his lines for the same reason. It’s unfortunate but he’s been doing this show for 25 years. It’s not normal for something to run this long. You can also hear the slight changes in Luffys Va as she gets older.

kaido is basically a gyarados :) his fruit is basically "mythical carp" lmao. because of the japanese myth that a carp (like magicarp) that manages to swim upstream up a waterfall turns into a dragon (the japanese kind, obviously, who are longer and frankly more fish-looking than european dragons, especially with those carp-whiskers they all have).

There is a pretty substantial rumor that Franky is so iconic because Oda changed Franky's initial design to fit the voice actor (he also voiced Bon Clay and Django. Fun fact, its the Mythical Zoan Type, Fish-Fish Fruit; Seiryuu Model. Seiryuu means "Azure Dragon". Legend has it when carp climb a waterfall they were develop into dragons. Hence why its a mythical fish. XD
