if you guys are listening to this music, consider this argument. Most of these songs from the 60's 70's and to some extent from the 80's were primarily in the "non visual" era. Sure we watched many of these songs in a movie hall, but we didn't have this with visual stimulation day in and day out. This was mostly evident to the lyricists and music directors and singers. They created melodies that resonated with your aural senses. You had to LISTEN to these songs. Two main ingredients of the songs those days was the music and the lyrics. They were both, extraordinary in MOST cases. Because, that was what sold the music/movie. We listened to these songs day in and day out, on radio, on our cassette players. This is why we remember them. We built a relationship with these songs. They are a part of our lives. Today's music is good, but they are based so much on VISUALS. They are created to sell based on how many people view them. The lyrics and the music itself isn't as important HOW IT LOOKS and SOUNDS. And anything visual is fleeting, till the next bright object comes along. Therefore we forget them, we don't get a chance to remember and put them into our blood stream. Very few music directors and lyricist create songs like those days ( just a handful, and you can probably name them on one hand). At the end, we the public determine what gets thrown at us. If we like crap and we pay for crap, albeit for a little while, the producers of music want to make money and they will feed us the crap. Support good music, buy those CD's Vinyls. Stop watching ITEM SONGS on KZbin and make them popular. You will automatically notice superb music and lyrics surface itself now and then. We control the product!

Filming of back seat of the car where the 3 actors sat was a makeshift interior part of the car on another low height platform trolley of a truck mimicking a car. When Amol's part with Vidya is done the camera pans to right and Amol left from behind the camera and then the camera pans left to show vidya sinha. This scene was then cut exactly to the real car shots on road with two actors. Thats why never saw the driver or the full car until it was actually on roads or outside shot.

Everything is subjective in this song, the restrained emotions of the actress Vidya Sinha described very much in details by the lyrics and vocals by the legend Mukesh, you can feel the emotions of the actress from the soul touching music by the uncomparable Salil Chaudhary. There is so much emotion and soul in the song that you can actually feel what the actress is going through.......alas the lost golden days of soul touching music.......the mindless music and lyrics of "DJ wale babu mera gaane bajade" today makes me sick. At least we have these great memories that we never tire of listening again and again.........many thanks for the upload.

This film had jus two songs - this one and other by Lata ji “Rajnigandha pyaar tumhara” title track. And both are so beautiful, melodious, calming. You don’t need 13 songs to mk any album memorable or classic. Jus 2-3 are enough. Like Anand has jus 4 songs - all four are timeless. Basu da’s other masterpiece - Choti si baat has 3 songs. Minimal but melodious and simple. That was Salil da’s work. 🙏

the actors Vidya Sinha and Dinesh Thakur were TRUE STARS--- actual human beings with real emotions. Doesn't even seem they were even acting-- just expressing, absolutely brilliant. I find them way better than the Khans and Roshans and Bachchans of today. Life has become complicated . was simple and BEAUTIFUL then. Mukesh is brilliant too and the music director Salil Chowdhury awesome

Most meaningful & touching song 💕 Being a 27yr old man i wish i had seen that great era of 70's where everything was so pure & real in its simple form be it relationships, music, lifestyle, nature etc i don't know why but i feel connected with this beautiful age of cinema more than the present culture. Vidya sinha has created magic here in this movie as well, I just love her work in the movie Chhoti si baat ❤ what a lovely thought provoking & memorable film it was.

This era doesn't seem to end....everything keeps coming back. People had a lot less but they were so happy as is reflected in these movies. We lived in a one bedroom rented flat and guests wouldn't cease to pour in. Never a friend needed to call and ask if he could come in....they would just drop in and ask for things 'haq se'. Once my father got very ill and mother didn't need to do anything. Help was coming from everywhere without asking. I was 10 then. So sorry for kids today....they are living a fake life.
