Couldn't agree LESS on the last name thing. It's a slap in the face to Elijah! Kail said last names were "earned" so what EXACTLY does he have to do to "earn" his children having his name? We all relationships may or may not last and it's stupid reason for not giving a child their fathers last name WHEN HES IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MOM, LIVING WITH HER AND HELPING WITH DAILY CARE . Apparently Kail doesn't WANT MARRIAGE so what does this guy have to do? Next they'll be broke up and Kailyn will be complaining that Elijah is just a construction worker not someone with a degree.

I can see why your offended, but i agree that was the smart decision knowing how Kail is with relationships, and it would be less traumatic for the kids if Elijah does disappear and want nothing to do with them (which i don't think he would. he seems very chill when Kail is doing the most) so it's as a precaution I'm not mad at that. Sadly, there is no guarantees that the fathers will stay in the kids life after they leave even if they are on child support, they can just send money and not see the kids. And they can always add his last name if Elijah does end up being around for the long hall. I don't get your last statement tho that seem kind of random...

Grace Holly J Sinclair was the name off of Degrassi. At first that character was a B- not so nice until she met Declane, but to me I felt like once Pagie left, Holly J Sinclair was the next queen bee. (Holly J was in season...6, 7, 8 idk I can't remember lol) I'm with you right there I'm not a big fan of the name Valley, as you said it reminds me of "Valley girl" I did like like Scotlyn thats different and out there and it's clever. But then if her and Elijah (which I hope this won't happen) won't work out, that poor baby and having her parents name...idk I thought Kailyn would have girl names for days like Junelle . No offense, but why wouldn't they use both of their last names? If he's taking care of them like she is, why not just hyphenate? I'm all for women giving their children their last name, whether married or not married. Especially if they are dealing with a dead beat father. Valley is horrible, but Sinclaire is beautiful. @GraceReport In the NICU in N.C. they make you go by your mother's maiden name. The twins actually could have their dads last name or two last names. Even some married couples, it was odd when a few could use their husband's last name. My son has two last names, but he could only go by last name. Just a thought. I really like her middle name over her first name. Iverson is definitely basketball ball vibes, but sounds better no matter which last name he has.

It's so true that it just makes some things in life easier if children have the same last name as their mother. My parents were married when my sister & I were born, so we took on our dad's last name just as our mom had, naturally, which I feel like - at least back in the day when more marriages lasted longer than marriages do today (Not necessarily because people were truly happy in their marriages in past decades/eras, but more likely because divorce wasn't as common as it is today & more people remained in miserable marriages than they do today.) - was probably the most common way people's last names are assigned at birth. When my parents divorced while my mother voiced that her personal preference would have been to take back her maiden name, she kept my dad's last name so that she would have the same last name as my sister & I. It makes it easier when it comes to school stuff, medical stuff, extra curricular activities, etc. She only dropped my dad's last name when she remarried, at which point she took on that man's last name. What's funny is that by that point my dad's last name had been her last name longer than her maiden name had been her last name & she'd actually become attached to my dad's last name after having used it for the large majority of her life ... & as such she actually had the nerve to ask her fiance IF he'd be offended if she didn't take on his last name & held onto my dad's instead. Really! 😂 Her fiance was an extremely easy going & open-minded guy, but that was too much to ask even of him. So, reluctantly my mom took on his last name. Well, that marriage didn't end up lasting, either, & her second husband's last name was, how do I say it? - the least phonetically pleasant of all 3 of the last names she'd had throughout her life & she didn't like it, but couldn't be bothered to change her name back to one of the first 2 as she was already in her mid 60s when that marriage imploded. When she died, though, she INSISTED that ALL THREE of her last names AND her nickname be included in her obituary, so naturally we honored her request & "Ann Marie Burnsie Burns-Donovan-Wardwell" was emblazoned at the top of her obituary & on the prayer cards that the funeral home made available to mourners 🤣 She was a REAL piece of work, my mom ❤ I really miss her 💕
