Loved seeing Sentinel Rock again! It’s my favourite place in nz, as I lived in Katikati for some time and went there a few times. I will RUN up there when it’s finally possible again to come back and just sit there and be just so grateful being back in nz and not making the mistake of leaving again 🥲 Keep going with the videos! Would suggest a head torch in the day pack, if you end up stuck or lost into the evening you are trouble without light.

Agree that it’s one of the best sections of track. There’s a few really cool areas just off the track around there too. Just be wary of the big patches of tree-nettle! (As a side note, I believe it’s pronounced ‘Mo-too-ta-pe-re’ hut)

How many Km's was the loop and how long were you guys out for?
