I have the 24 - 70 f4 and I think it’s a fine lens . I would love if it were a little faster and a little sharper in the corner sure, but it gets the job done beautifully and I picked mine up used in perfect condition for $500. Of course I would jump at the chance to have one of these G Masters, but it’s nowhere near my budget, so if you find yourself in the same situation just know that the 24-70 f4 IS a worthwhile lens that can produce stunning results.

KAI! 7 or 8 years ago i got into photography and i stumbled upon your old channel, Digital Rev TV. i eventually got into film photography, and when i realised it wasn’t cost effective, i dropped that and went back to shooting with my sony. that eventually died and i was camera-less and got out of the hobby. flash forward to present day. i just went and got a Fuji-film x100f and wanted to re-immerse back into photography. there was a channel i remembered watching years ago that i was subscribed to (digital rev tv), that i wanted to find again. i couldn’t remember the name so i went and looked through my subs until i finally found it. i rewatched something of my favourites but i was sad because the channel hadn’t been uploaded onto for several years. today i get onto youtube and i have a suggested video from Kai W! i instantly recognised your face. all in all i’m super excited to watch your videos again and see some stuff from Lok as well. you gave me many laughs over the years and you were so insightful to a young lad looking to get into the hobby many years ago. thank you. Chad.

off the topic: I subscribed you since 2009 (or 2010, very early anyway), now I see your living in UK instead of HK, your life is actually moving it up, that's great! I don't use DSLR anymore, so I don't click your video as often as before, but seeing you thriving makes me happy. keep it up man!

Improved stabilization can be achieved without OSS too, by helping the IBIS perform better, for example by having a larger image circle, by better communicating data with it, etc.

I have the new 24-70 GM2 on order to replace my existing 24-105 F4. As I already have the 70-200, I don’t need the overlap of focal length, but do want F2.8, and if this is anywhere near as sharp as the 70-200 GM2, it will be an incredible lens! That 70-200 outshines everything, including Primes.
@michaellim4165
@michaellim4165 2 жыл бұрын
70 200 gm2 outshines other primes or the GM1? I have the GM1 but not sure if I should make the change to the GM2 due to the huge jump in price, almost $900 USD.

@@michaellim4165 That is the one lens I'm currently saving for I have a Tamron 70-180 and plan on selling mine for the gm2 um asap. you can add the Teleconverter 1.4 and 2.0 converter and it is still sharper then the 100-400 gm. So it's deff a bang for your buck even though it's not cheap. This is after watching all the reviews on KZbin and continuing to just watch reviews cause i cant afford it yet. lol

Hey! I know this comment is over a year old. But I have the 24-105 and love it because of OSS. I mainly do travel videos, do you think without OSS, the 24-70GM2 is worth it to replace the 24-105?

Educational filming with new parents and children building, explaining ... Thank you. (Do you think GoPro Black 10 would be a variant, or Dji Pocket 2? Or any other variants you can recommend to me.
