Why not just untie the knot that is in the lid, run the cord through the prop hole and retie?

That wil work but does not stay tight to the lid and could spin sideways making it hard to get the lid off or tangle with my wiring. Took like 5 minutes to do and I dont have to untie or clip anything to get to the prop.
