This is summer special recipe. As raw mangoes are available in plenty this recipe is must in this season as this sakhar amba is made using raw mango. In this recipe you will get lot many tips and tricks to make perfect sakhar amba. We are adding few garam masale in this recipe to give a different taste to this sakhar amba. You can store this sakhar amba for a year. Kids will definitely love this. You can try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe.
Ingredients:
• 4 raw Mangoes
• 1 tsp Ghee
• 3~4 Cloves
• Cinnamon
• 1 1/2 cup Sugar
• Few Saffron strands (Optional)
Method:
• Wash and peel the raw mangoes.
• You can skip peeling the mango if you want.
• Grate the raw mangoes into long shreds.
• Heat up a pan on medium heat and add ghee.
• When the ghee is hot enough add cloves, cinnamon and fry for few seconds.
• Add grated mango and fry for about 3-4 minutes.
• Add sugar and mix well.
• The proportion of sugar should be half of the grated mango.
• You can decide the quantity of sugar depending on your taste.
• Cook everything together until the mixture thickens up a little for about 10-15 minutes.
• After cooking for about 7-8 minutes add saffron and mix well.
• Adding saffron is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
• When the mixture thickens up a little and gets nice glaze turn off the gas.
• You can cook a little longer if you want. . Let the sakhar amba cool down completely and
sakhar amba is all ready.
• You can store the sakhar amba in an airtight glass jar for about a year.
• You can store in outside. No need of storing it in freeze.
