These songs are so incredible! The world of Gothic and the music in it create an amazing atmosphere. No other game can ever reach the level of experience you get in this series. Gothic 1 & 2 are a bit too dark and many times scary but amazing. Gothic 3 is warmer and the music so much better! Incredible ambiance, you will love exploring every single inch of that huge map. Danke Kai! Gothic war ein großer Teil meiner Kindheit und wenn ich damals auch nicht so sehr auf die Musik achtete, so ist diese doch im Laufe der Jahre immer mehr in den Mittelpunkt gerückt. Gothic musik ist genial, bin oft nur in Khorinis gestanden und habe gelauscht und gelauscht. Die Musik hat für mich etwa 50% der Athmosphäre ausgemacht. While alot of people like vista point the most, my favorite will always be the gothic 3 credits. after playing the game untill the end, the music makes the effort worthwhile every time. Every bug and failed quests, every death and all the struggles on the journey are forgotten and the " real reward" after the cinematic rolled, will always be the credit's song.

Auch noch nach Jahren, muss ich immer wieder sagen - Super Arbeit ^^ Mein wohl absolutes Lieblingslied von dir bleibt immer die Gothic 1 Theme. Sie ist und bleibt für mich unübertroffen. Aber das beste Gesamtpacket war zweifelsohne das gesamte Setting für den G3 Soundtrack - solch eine musikalische Atmosphäre gibt es sonst echt nirgends und ich liebe Soundtracks von Games. Ich habe Piranha Bytes 2009 verlassen, nach der Fertigstellung von Risen 1. Die großartigen Soundtracks von Risen 2 und 3 stammen also schon nicht mehr aus meiner Feder, sondern nur die Musik vom ersten Teil.

Kai Rosenkranz Well, first two Gothic games have shown us that there is something much more important than professional orchestra. Sometimes solo instruments touch you more than those violins... :) In parenthesis, it was you who's inspired me to start an adventure with composing - adventure which involves all of you, your emotions, your experiences, your yearnings... It hepls you understanding that music has no limits and no genres, it is a powerful force which can utter unutterable, express unexpressable and show impercepitable, it changes your life and your perception of the world surrounding you. This is a wonderful collection of covers, but I feel that the description isn't accurate. Isn't the first track actually the "Final Melody" that plays over the credits and the "In Memory of Sascha Pieroth" message, rather than the "Title Theme" (or the theme that plays on the menu screen of Gothic 3)? Still, it's wonderful to see you give back to the fandom of your work like this. May the musical beauty you created live forever.

The "Final Melody" - or "End Titles" - starts with the title themes from Gothic 1 and Gothic 2. So both is actually true.

Man, I love the Gothic games.. but.. now for my questions (please don't bash me :O) ..You wrote the music and so I just.. thought that you could have some insight in PB.. Do you think that G5 (or just GIV from PB) is coming..? And if so, please compose the soundtrack XD. Anyway, I love your work, I love all the classic Gothic games (1-3).. 4 was a disaster though, but that's made by spellbound and.. I think that no Gothic fan would consider that a Gothic game :) Thank you for creating my childhood.. Love your work :)

Ich liebe Rollenspiele und habe alle PB-Games gespielt. Allerdings nicht immer komplett aus der Perspektive eines Spielers. Ich habe ja auch bei den Sprachaufnahmen Regie geführt und alle Soundeffekte in der Welt plaziert, ich kannte also jeden Winkel der Welt und jeden Satz der Geschichte. "Spielen" heißt also eher das fertige Ergebnis zu genießen, die erschaffene Atmosphäre aufsaugen und einige meiner Lieblingsstellen auszuprobieren.
