Joey Kevorkian I completely agree with you on that because it was during the great Turkish war that Eugene of savoy would be made field marshal at the age of 30 but the war would also see the Duke of Marlborough in two of his engagements that took place before the war of Spanish succession and the war would also see the first British attacks against French controlled Acadia which was composed of the us state of Maine and the Canadian provinces of Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

The title should be "The Allies Last Victory", not "Final" because it was indeed the last triumph for the allies in Spain, but as we know they lost the war in the Peninsula. The "Final" victories were for the Franco-Spanish or Bourbonists: Brihuega and Villaviciosa.

To me the final victory was ressist one hole year the siege of Barcelona...but was defended mostly for local militia and civilians not by a regular Army and ended with defeat.. Still the longest siege in history since Carthago...and with cannons. I recomend the book "VICTUS" of Albert Sanchez Pinyol.
