I haven’t thought it of doing a “permanent” insert as a first notebook... and that’s what I’m having trouble with. Thanks for the idea! ☺️

You're welcome! I just hate re-setting up spreads unless its necessary (ie my monthly/daily logs) so this is the best solution I found 😄

@@mtchob haha fair enough, I haven't run into that but I can see how that could be a serious struggle!
@ezra42573 жыл бұрын
@@mtchob that’s how I felt until I watched this video and it makes so much sense. I’ve thought about it before because it’s similar to Jibun Techo’s “Life Book” and “Diary (which is the planner part) Book”, but I thought it wouldn’t work out cause I’ll need way more pages just in case or something. But now I know I don’t need TOO much, I’m trying the method Kaitlin posted.

Great Video, Kaitlin! I use 4 TN's from the TC and 3 TN's from Prima Marketing. I actually don't like to have more than one notebook inside a cover, for some reason it is not comfortable for me to use the system with multiple TN's in one cover. So I have one for daily journaling ('dear diary' style), one for writing thoughts about nature, one for random facts about me (so funny), one for 72-seasons-project (Japanese Calendar), one for writing poetry, one for art journal and one for planning. so much fun! Loved your video!

@@KaitlinGrey Thank you sweetie! I used to have all in one insert and it worked well for a while, but now I love to have them separated. Everything is easier like that. One for each topic. What's your favorite insert to write/ create inside?

@@forestofthings Right now I'm using a water-colour insert from the traveler's company! Recently I converted my tn into a creative journal, so the thicker pages have been great for all the collages I'm doing :)

Does this mean you’ve abandoned the other journals you’ve tried? (Well, abandon is harsh. I re-use all my ‘abandoned’ journals eventually and I have no shame in my question, just curiosity.) And would you ever try the Hobonichi? I don’t know if it’s your style, but the paper is divine. It rivals MD for my favorite paper. And it’s so far the only techo system I’ve found that’s all in one. Pre-Hobonichi, I averaged 12 journals a year 😅🙈 and I think I’ll finish this year at no more than 4 now. It’s bizarre and I’m excited for it, haha. Sending love! Happy to see your videos!

Haha omg no worries at all Nancy, I’m the same way, I just repurpose notebooks for something else! So yes, right now I’m not using my archer and Olive notebook but we’ll see what I use it for next! And no, I’ve never tried hobonichi paper, I’ll have to check it out!

Decorating? Don't get crazy now. LOL! How are you liking the thinner size from B6? Stay well, too!
@KaitlinGrey3 жыл бұрын
hahaha don't worry my friend, my version of decorating is very simple, like very "oh i need to label my notebook, maybe I'll add a piece of washi tape" kind of decoration! So still very simple so my brain doesn't explode! In regards to how I'm liking the thinner paper size, I am REALLY liking it! I always had this thing with b6 and a5 paper where I never liked how I would never really fill up the width of the page, so I find my writing just fits better in the more narrow paper size. I think for weekly logs I would probably find it a bit too narrow, but for daily logs it's perfect!

Hi Kaitlin! Loving your experimentations. Funny, I’m using a B6 stalogy now and I was using a standard TN! When I used my TN, I did a similar set up. One long term collections, one I switched out each month and one for my long form journal. I love them for traveling! I still use mine for long form journaling and travel, whenever that happens. Looking forward to to seeing how your use of this evolves.

I did decide to go with the monthly and weekly inserts, but added the dotted pages for more entires for books read, mood, thankful and future thoughts plus a section for just brain dumping. I also did some mod podge on the different sections and added some pockets . Thank you again! I look forward to more ideas.
