Wow!!! With the cost of everything going up, I need to cut costs whenever I can. Your tutorial was so well done...you made the oil and filter change look so easy. I can hardly wait for my "Maintenance Required" light to go off so that I can do the maintenance myself. I won't even mind getting my hands oily because of the money I'll be saving. Thanks

My only suggestion is to use a 19mm socket on the larger hex of the removal tool. In your case, the plastic housing was easy to remove, but some are torqued too tight and you'll strip out the center of the tool.

I just wish that engine used an old school oil filter. I guess it's to help cut down on the amount of metal filters in landfills.

13:30 you reached the end, the oil filter can not go any further. So much for the torque wrench, and so much for complaining next time that the dealer put the oil filter too tight 🤣

"Don't over tighten, hundreds of $ in repair bills" - but don't use a torque wrench??? To all watching this video, this is not good advice. Use a torque wrench and the proper torque specifications for everything with a book value torque spec!

OEM filters are totally fine if you change your oil and filter like you are supposed to - 4,000-5,000 miles
@condor56357 ай бұрын
@@Cdr306- exactly. Stupid to say go spend more money on a Mobil filter because of better ‘quality’. I have >250k miles on mine and never used anything else. Same with people who waste their money on Aimsoil. Waste. Just change every 4-5k
