Thank you Sue! This was perfect! You answered all my questions so clearly. I already chose a different (and terrific) Kajabi hero to help get me set up but to those reading this, if you are looking for help, do consider working with Sue. Don't go it alone - Kajabi is just too overwhelming to try to figure it out by yourself.

Hi Sue! Fantastic video and this may have helped me to cross the threshold. I've been using PODIA - AWFUL!!!! I'm done. I could not justify the price point of Kajabi until I saw this Group Coaching aspect, as it's exactly what I need! Do you know if there is a place to sign up for notification of the January possible 3-month offer?? Wishing you a 2024 and thanks again for this fantastic video. 🤩

Hey Sheri, so glad you enjoyed the video and yes, moving to Kajabi will feel like a big upgrade from Podia - so much more flexibility. The 3 months for $99 offer starts very soon, are you on my email list? If so, you'll get an email to get notified as soon as the special new year deal is live - or you can go to theunicornadvisory.com/kajabi any time to see the current best offer.

Hi Sue. Great video and very helpful. Would just love to know the difference of Group Coaching feature vs Community feature? And which is better?
@suemclachlan8 ай бұрын
Good question! I think it depends on what you are doing with your program and whether you have curriculum to go with it as well. If you are already using community, then doing meetups in your community will save you having to use an extra product and it makes sense to have anything together. If you aren't using community and the core of your program is the coaching, then Group Coaching would be a great option. If you have a lot of curriculum, I'd use the live calls within the course itself for any group coaching calls (or zoom).

This video was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I mean Exactly. Couldnt find another like this one it's like you knew all of my questions. I do have one thing i'd like to ask (hopefully you see this) I created a group (coaching) but would like to offer a one time payment for the whole thing or give the option to pay monthly. I created the group but not sure if I can offer these options within the group. (I hope I made sense)
@suemclachlan11 ай бұрын
Hey Maria, so glad you found the video so helpful!! :) Yes you can set up multiple payment options using offers - you can have as many different offers as you like, for example pay in full and 3 x payments. You can even have them on the same checkout (see this video for how to do that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJSaqYOhqN2NbLM
Thanks Sue, does the Kajabi video room have closed caption capabilities for hard of hearing? If not can I use Google Meet instead? Very helpful thanks.
@suemclachlan11 ай бұрын
It doesn't have this yet for the live room, you can use Creator Studio in Kajabi to get an SRT file afterwards for captions on the recording. But no live captions yet.

Hi Sue, I'm trying to work out if I can use the Group Coaching feature for an existing client group. I have run regular training for an organisation and now have a kajabi website. I would like to use some of the features with them, but since they are not individual clients I want a situation where the group and all their interactions and information is kept totally private. I know kajabi is set up for public programs where individuals sign up, but do you think it could work in this situation? It definitely would be beneficial to me if I could run both my public and organisation-based groups through the one platform!

Do you think this is the best option for ongoing group training sessions ? Several per month so people can sign up for courses they want to choose ?
@suemclachlan5 ай бұрын
Possibly, I would probably run the live sessions in the Kajabi community if there were several per month. That way people could RSVP for the session that interested them and easily see a list, plus have discussions before/after the session. But it would depend a little on your pricing structure - is this an ongoing membership type of structure? Or a cohort baseed program that starts and ends on a specific date? And when you say courses, do you mean on demand courses, or the courses are the live sessions?
@JenelleCameron5 ай бұрын
@@suemclachlan thanks. It would be one-off courses where people can sign up for as many as they like in the time slot that works for them. In any given month I’d give several course options with several time slots. They would be live
@suemclachlan5 ай бұрын
@@JenelleCameron OK so would they pay for each course they want to sign up for? So people can only attend the individual class they sign up for and if they want to attend a different class they pay for that separately? Or are you offering it as a monthly subscription and they choose which ones they want to attend? (so everyone who pays monthly could attend any classes offered that month)?

Got a question for you. I was wondering if you know of a way to create accountability to help people complete the course? I've heard about someone having their students sign in with video call at a certain time just to prove that they are working on their course work for that day. Is there a way to do this or to automate this with Kajabi? If that is not possible do you have any other ideas that you have heard about or do yourself to create accountability?
@suemclachlan11 ай бұрын
Heya, yeah there are lots of ways - I probably wouldn't force people to sign in at a specific time, especially if your course is for adults, forcing a video call feels a little "school like" to me. Many people like online training as they can do it in their own time. With Kajabi you've got some options, like check-in quizzes at the end of modules - you can send an email out automatically once they complete that, encouraging them and getting them excited about what is coming up. There is a gamify template for your product, where people will get badges as they complete certain parts of your course, that can be a motivator. Creating an email check-in series (can be automated) to bring people back to the course. Offering office hours to give extra support to those who need it, or offering co-working sessions to encourage completion (Kajabi live rooms in the courses allow for breakout rooms which can be helpful for making say a chatty room and a quiet room). Also consider accessibility - offering a private podcast of the content can make it easier for people to complete the lesson content is really popular. Hope that helps :)

I'm just starting with Kajabi and I really want to use group coaching but this is way way over my head. I am really discouraged. Is it just me that finds this extremely hard to learn? I really want to know because if everyone else is having an easy time getting started with Kajabi based on the available tutorials maybe I just don't have the capability to use the platform.
@suemclachlan10 ай бұрын
Hey Mary, please don't get discouraged 💞 One of the great things about Kajabi being an all in one system, is that it can do a lot of the things you need to run your online business. But the downside of that, is there are lots of different aspects to learn and it can take some time to get used it it all. I can promise it gets easier over time. Sometimes it is best to stick to one aspect at a time, get that nailed, then move to the next part. For example set up the tech for a free lead magnet and email welcome sequence, then set up an offer (for a single thing) then add a new offer etc. It can get a bit daunting when you are trying to set up a website and freebie funnel and multiple products all at once. This group coaching tutorial does have a lot of assumed knowledge and many people watching this would have used Kajabi for a while and were keen to discover this new group coaching feature (it only came out recently) and I offered some comparisons with other ways of doing things in Kajabi - which may feel a bit overwhelming if you don't even know those other options yet. If you have specific questions about how to do things, please let me know - I may be able to point you to resources that can help :)

@@suemclachlan thanks so much for your kind response. I agree I should start with one thing. I can't launch until March because I have been admitted into a subsidized provincial business startup program and they are making me write a complete business plan before I launch. I could actually lose my subsidy if I start making money too soon! However they have agreed that I can offer a pre-launch free introductory course on Kajabi as a way to learn the platform and build my email list. So I'm thinking of offering a free introductory course with live calls as a lead magnet. Does that make sense? Would it make more sense to do that via a free group coaching product? Should I connect a free community to it? Any resources you could share with me on how to figure out the best way to proceed and set it up would be greatly appreciated. I am an artist targeting people who want to learn a certain type of painting (cold wax painting), so I also need help putting my portfolio on my site. I don't have a separate site--I really want to put everything on Kajabi.

@@maryantico3399 You're welcome, happy to help :) I totally get where you're coming from and it's actually perfect if you have time and space to grow your audience and email list before selling, that will help a LOT when you do start selling! If you are going to offer a free intro course with live calls, I would do it as a course product and do the live calls within the course, rather than the group coaching product. That way your students can easily access all the resources and get notified when you do the live calls. The live calls can auto-save into the course product for those who want to watch the replay. Live calls will be a great opportunity to build a connection with your audience as well! If you need help with how to do that, let me know - it could be a great tutorial video I can make for the channel :)

@@suemclachlan thanks so much for your input. I am going to take your advice and do it as a course product with live calls. One question: can I build some content in there before I start promoting the free course via the live calls function? In other words, can I just record content by myself with live calls? I also use OBS so of course I will be uploading videos made with that, but I'm guessing students might like to see what the live call platform is like before they participate, and I want to practice using it. Any resources you could point me towards on how to set this up would be very helpful.
@suemclachlan10 ай бұрын
@@maryantico3399 Hey Mary, you could create a test course to try out the live room and practice using it - perhaps invite a friend or two and you can see how it goes (make a free offer for that test course), then delete the course once you've tested it all out. For your recorded lessons, you could do a solo live call and use that as the recording, I personally use Loom or Tella.tv, but you could absolutely use OBS if that is what you prefer.
