true, but don't forget...most of the French guys were actually faster than him. he was in CM vs Makelele & Vieira...if he drifted to the right wing, he faced Malouda and Abidal. He was shut down by French defensive speed. Kaka was at his best when sprinting through the center against slower defensive midfielders. You can't outrun or outmuscle Makelele & Vieira.

@@USCFlash he was definitely faster than Makelele and Veira, he was one of the fastest forwards/attacking midfielders in the world at this point, his acceleration in particular was amazing. However he needed space to operate which the French denied him and that's why the counterattacking AC Milan teams suited him. In next season's Champions League he did very well against the very athletic Manchester United team. I think Brazil misused him in this tournament, he was never really a creative midfielder, more of a deep lying forward, instead of a front 4 of Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Adriano they should have had Ronaldinho behind Kaka and Adriano.

@@ronniep9272 he was not faster than Makelele. Kaka is one of my favorite players of all time, but he was never even the fastest player on his own teams!. He was what is known in track as a long strider, who was able to use his stride length effectively, when he burst through the midfield on the counter-attack, but you can see hundreds of examples of him being caught and outran by faster players. He was not as fast as players like Henry, Wiltord, Roberto Carlos, Bernard Mendy, and many others. A better footballer, yes, a faster footballer, no.

En este partido el planteamiento de Brasil fue malo. Kaka jugaba muy retrasado a su posición habitual. Y se notaba como Brasil estaba desordenado.

U are wrong, the team should have given the ball to Ronaldinho the only player who can give assist or score. U can see Kaka trying to make passes to Ronaldo9 while Ronaldinho would have been the better option. All the Brazil players were just ignoring Ronny

Mehn Kaka was whack n stupido, i see him running up and down, trying to be the playmaker while all he had to do was copy what Rivaldo did in wc2002,, just let Ronaldinho have the ball and Ronny will find you.Simple. There was no way Kaka was going to get past this strong French player, U can see him loosing the ball allover. The same for Ronaldo9. It's like all Brazill players were trying to ignore Ronaldinho, the only one who could have helped them . The coach starts an old Ronaldo9 and benches Adriano but it's even worse that the Brazil players think Ronaldo is still the star, they were tring to find him yet there was no way he was going to get past that French midfield or even the defence
