@@silverdragon7626 Mhh. Actually, apart for the green suit they don't look as similar as Gai and Lee are imo (solely starting from the hairstyle, for example). Also, do you remember the flashback dialogue between Itachi and his first teammate, the (survived) swordsman Juzo? When the first one mentioned he was familiar only with Gai, Juzo ignored his words and then he went on telling "that" story, as if he didn't even care about it. Plus, I think Juzo, so as all his comrades, didn't connect on that day that one of the kids Dai was trying to protect was also his son (except if they distinctly heard what these two were saying to each other, but however we can't be 100% sure what was going through their minds).

But in here, Kakashi is already close to the target, meaning he doesn’t need to use vision-impairing speed to reach his opponent (i mean he already can’t risk that, because he’s temporarily blind), and since his opponent is cornered, his lightning blade is a sure-hit, meaning there’s little threat of a counterattack
