You want to know something funny? we never got to see Kakashi at full power ever, because of his sharingan that keps draining chakra he wasn't able to do to much jutsus before running out of chakra like the man literally know 1000 jutsus but because of the sharingan he can't use them, just imagine fighting someone with that many tricks and with a lot of chakra like this man was nerfed and still was strong af.

This episode never becomes any easier to watch every time. Also, just as a clarification: the way Granny Chiyo brought Gaara back to life was through a forbidden reanimation jutsu, different from that of Orochimaru's and the 2nd Hokage's, that basically required the exchange of one life for another. She was the only one that learned and mastered that jutsu, I believe. So, there is no one in the leaf village that could bring the dead back to life.

Unless you get out without permanent injury or the real Pain dies you lose without accomplishing anything beyond intel or temporary loss of one of the puppets. Don't forget that at this point we know next to nothing about the revival/replacement process, the real Pain or how the situation is going to play out.

The manga is irrelevant here as this video solely concerns the anime and the way it is portrayed here during Jiraya's battle is like reviving bodies is not too troublesome mid-fight.
