Kakhi Kakhiashvili is seriously unappreciated! Absolute class. And always came across being cool as a cucumber, pressure never got to him.

Unappreciated??? Maybe for people that don't really invest any time watching film the dude has the biggest c&j per bodyweight in history... Not much to debate after that fact is brought up .

Kaki was one of those lifters who looked like just an ordinary bloke who drives a forklift. I'm sure if you saw him in the flesh, you'd notice his forearms and quads and think, oh yeah, he lifts but on TV... You guys did a video on the most jacked lifters, you should do one on the most unassuming looking lifters who have won world titles.

235 at 90 to take the gold from the other former ussr lifter in 1992 has to be top 3 all time lifts in the sport.

Then he made them play the Georgian anthem/flag after they played him and the unified team purposely held him back. One of the greatest moments in weightlifting.

Might also be interesting to see and analysis of Anatoly Krahpaty . He was also formidable in the same weight class I believe.

I have an exact number on his back squat. I actually added Kakhi as a friend on facebook about ten years ago. He has since deleted me because well we never spoke after one conversation. His message in messenger was not super clear as he uses a different language. I asked him what hos max clean and jerk was in training and back squat. Clean and jerk max in training was infact 235kg max back squat was 300kg. Kakhi was like playdoh he could squeeze underneth the weight, thats what I live most about him.

Please do Akkaevs snatch ! Had a monster clean and jerk but I think his snatch was formidable. Most violently aggressive 2nd and 3rd pull ever.

Would you ever do an analysis of the Greek weightlifting coach Christos Iakovou? Was he responsible for some of the success of the team or just happened to be there at the right time?

I had a vision of the most ridiculous metaphor for the back extension during clean. Would you prefer, when having a heavy fish in the hook, your equipment be a long leather whip or stiff fishing pole if you wanted to lift the fish up from the water.

Heavy guys who stuck in flexion should be doing upside down Kettlebell across bench pullovers knees/shins on floor, extremely good for global extension, it recalibrates your ribcage, shoulder blade. Some top old school bodybuilder did those, but only 1 Google picture available with no name from ~80s. 0 videos on KZbin or other sources, lost variation, yet it is gold for reprogramming your mobility. Regular db pullovers are just doesn't do much.

Yuri Zakharevich! I want to know how someone can snatch 210kg at 110kg bodyweigt.And it's not just more stanozolol back then. Alexander Kurlovich did 212.5kg at 132kg bodyweigt at the same olympics.

@benjamingrunberg78073 ай бұрын
@@kevinprowse406 I know, one of my favorite lifts. He weighed 108. Zakharevich weighed 109, something. But Akkaev did it with straps and Zakharevich did it at the olympics and followed himself 2 times with 2 min rest.

Please! How the heck do you train your back to extend and strong like his??? We can all be more flexible but this strong back position is everything! Every time, the best lifters are strong in this flexion. How does one work on this alone. It's the best example of zero butt-wink.. Comfortable and very strong in an arched position. Any training methods for this???
