Join us for a walk around Kakopetria. We are in the Troodos Cyprus for the weekend and this is our 1st day. We walk uo to the old town through the cobbled streets.

Hi George. Great video as always. We’ve not been to the Troodos mountain area - because our hire car broke down the day we decided to go lol - but it looks really nice. I’ve thought of two places I’d like you to visit. One is the area in the mountains where they make Cammadaria wine. The other is the Paralimni area which we know best. A great taverna is near the town centre called Konati or is it Konaki- I can’t remember! Also, Ancient Idalion (Nicosia) and Kition (Larnaka). Every time we’ve tried to go to Larnaka museum it was shut! Mmm - rather than sending you all over the place we’d better try and come out to Cyprus next year! I could be your ancient history correspondent! The shutter speed is still causing flickering with lights and flickering with bright areas. Have a great time in Troodos and thanks for all your work on these videos.

Thanks again George.. Nice with a little visit to one of my favourite towns in the Troodos. Now that you are in the area, there's an nice little church in the UN camp at Skouriotissa. If you ask nicely I'm sure that they will let you in to see the church. I dont know if it is possible to visit the old copper mine also.. All the best LR

@@CYPRUSINSIGHT It is right at the UN camp at Skouriotissa. ( whit the nice litle church ) GPS 35°5′28″N 32°53′5″E . Near the nice small town Katydata

The church is inside the UN camp, but should be open for a visit...

@@CYPRUSINSIGHT The mine is just outside the UN camp. Close to the little village Katydata. You can't miss it driving down to the camp. It's an open mine. On Google earth it looks like the there is still activities going on. In the 80 they were finding a little gold there...
