the 2nd half was SRK's imagination of like if he wasn't sick, how he'd have the love story w/her and Saif would've been married to someone else. The other girl in the theatre was a friend, so he's kind of just like thanking her for helping make Preity jealous in a playful way lol. Love this movie

Saif was a playboy but truly liked Preity. He just didn't have a chance with her. SRK was imagining what it'd be like in his place. Future ahead of him, office flirting, class with Preity, dancing, etc. Instead he's worried about his heart ultrasound results and how long he has left with his loved ones

That lift scene was for comic relief. So basically in this movie, Saif's maid thinks that Shahrukh and Saif are in a relationship. In the lift scene, he jokingly says that he is married to her after which Shahrukh says that he does not mind. If you see carefully, Saif moves towards Shahrukh before the lift closes (which is just a funny scene based on the premise that they are mistaken as lovers).
