very honest reflection and well expressed! Domala thank you for talking about fasting called nyungne in tibetan. It is true that Tibetans pray when nepalese celebrate their dasain killing animals for their feast. We dont know if nepalese people know about this. Not lying is one of the main sheel of Buddha teaching. Other non virtues not to do are not killing, not stealing, no sexual misconduct, no harsh speech, not destroying peace within community etc. Kindness and compassion is the main virtues. Buddhist do prostrations to the buddha dharma and sangha. Domala is unique in prostrating to earth. that is also nice way to think. Our guru says, when we prostrate, we close off our 5 bad emotions desire, anger, ignorance, jeasousy, ego with 2 hands, two knees, and head and when we get up of the ground, we take 5 wisdoms rays from the Buddhas. There are other explanations also. Thank you for your generosity.
