Nothing wrong with a good old fashioned robot doing neck carving. 😀

Glad to see the boys taking things forward. I'll email Marcus about his spokeshave technique... you can avoid that chatter. Well done Alex. Petaluma is a lovely place full of lovely people.

That Cypress and Mahogany SUS model would suit me very nicely. I love its smooth tone.

The sustain on these is just magnificent!

I think so. I've been playing uke for 16 years this year and I can't think of another production ukulele with this clean a sound and sustain. One off ukes every now and again sure, but consistently, nothing is like the Revelator right now.

Awesome video! I'd love to know what strings you eventually end up with on your personal Revelator. 😀👍

This is such a great and inspiring video Guys! Wonderful, thank you for showing and explaining so much… amazing to see!

Wonderful ukes, but unfortunately they won’t work for me. I’ve played guitars and ukes for 40+ years and I rely on the fret markers as I play up the neck. I’ve tried focusing on the side markers but my belly turns the neck into my body making them hard to see. Still enjoy watching these great ukes in videos. Thanks

Yeah, I don't understand why Kala would omit the fret markers.

Is Alex now owner of SUS or is it now owned by Absolute Music and run independently by Alex ? The Cedar top sounds awesome?
@SouthernUkuleleStore8 ай бұрын
Alex is SUS, SUS is Alex... It feels a bit tacky discussing this stuff but we are trading independently of Absolute Music inside the Absolute Music centre. That being said, they have been amazing at sharing resources with us and we feel very connected to each others teams now... my biggest worry is Absolute pinching my staff 😆😆 The Cedar top was my favourite I think too...

These revelators looked and sound awesome. Would it need to be careful of humidity? Coming from high humidity area. 😅
@SouthernUkuleleStoreАй бұрын
No more or less than other instruments you will have experience with. A good two way humidification pack like Boveda would be inexpensive and give you a peace of mind.
