Good morning all viewers of Kalamadhyama posts. I fully Appreciate the challenges addressed by the Team . I have an innate desire to strengthen their efforts to educate the masses especially to rectify British version , limited history scripted to meet the requirements of colonial powers. I take this opportunity to express my appreciation which has a commendable component of information on the social reforms during the Hyder-Tipu Era. I herewith place one such social reform and enforcement by the Hyder- Tipu combine ....... Hitherto the arrival of Hyder-Tipu administration the common working class Mysorean women never were allowed to wear a blouse 👚. The Mysorean women immaterial of caste, religion were compelled to wear the "Ganjam Angi" by the Hyder-Tipu Government throughout the Mysore Kingdom . The "Ganjam Angi" .was typical and comparable to a men's full arm shirt with two pockets on top and two below, like a full arm "Komti Settys" wedding Safari Suit. I always refrain from making derogatory remarks on these two down to earth rulers of Mysore, like many arm chair historians and researchers who talk off their hats . Good administration and social reforms from whoever , has to be appreciated. Best Wishes to Param and Kalamadhyama team to be Harbingers of Social Change.
