I ALWAYS WANTED TO VISIT KALAUPAPA, MOLOAKI, HAWAII, USA BECAUSE OF THE PRECIOUS PEOPLE, DEAR SAINT FATHER DAMIEN AND SAINT MOTHER MARIANNE.🙏. Because of my old age and enduring the pain of a brain tumor,it is a dream now. PRAY FOR US ST. FATHER DAMIEN AND ST. MOTHER MARIANNE🙏.Oh, how we need you...❤️🌹😷

@@thehiescapade We are in Maui now...came for a wedding. Was so hoping to get over for a tour, but haven’t been able to find one. Your video is the next best thing! Thank you!!!

@@thehiescapade Just learned that permits aren’t available at this time, because the patients, of course, are at high risk of Covid.

"lush deep valleys, with majestic sea cliffs shroud Kalaupapa, black sand beaches stretch for miles marked only by the wind". Trademark that quote because someone will steal it. The imagery in that quote is amazing.

I surprised it took that same amount of time coming out! You all must of been young bucks, lol! I here now in Molokai and told unable to go due to covid...; (

For older tourists is there another way to access Kalaupapa without having to hike through jungle or ride a mule? Is it accessible by boat - are there boat tours?

Aloha, I highly recommend to check the nps website for further updates on ways to visit the area once it is open.

Mahaolo! The site is closed due to the danger COVID presents to the patients. I’m currently in Molokai and hope to visit this important site on another trip. Your video helped me see it.

Thank you! Hope you were able still have a good and fun time in Molokai. Hopefully once this COVID period goes away, Kalaupapa tours can then continue.
