@@kalbodiverThe subway North Avenue station will be connected also to MRT3, LRT1 and MRT7 in the Grand Central Station in North Edsa. Also since the subway trains are also the same designed made in Japan trains of the NSCR line, the Japanese contractors are planning to connect both lines after the subway Bicutan station. Meaning after the subway Bivcutan station, the subway train will go up and use also the NSCR line up to Calamba Laguna Station increasing the subway's distance.

you must to try the LRT-2 (LRT Line 2), it's bigger trains, and also more convenient train stations including the 2 new stations: Marikina and Antipolo stations which Antipolo station is best for scenic view, as well as the underground Katipunan station. Stretch from Recto stations to Antipolo station, vice versa.

@@kalbodiver hah, on an interesting note, my mother (now retired) used to go to Japan a lot thirty years ago for business trips. Back then it was less foreigner/tourist friendly than it is now. She would take the trains to go to her meetings and the locals are surprised that a foreigner is able to navigate the system instead of just taking the taxi. :)

7:03 - No, it's not yet Roxas Boulevard. It's still Cavite Expressway (or Cavitex), an expressway connecting Manila Metropolis to the Province of Cavite. 😄 The section of Roxas Boulevard starts when the train approaches MIA Road Station (at 9:00). 😊

Japan is also helping us build our Subway and Long and South Long Haul complete with Airport Express lines. Under President Duterte, we bought over 100+ consists of E233 Series EMU from Tokyu Car Corporations, same ones used by JR East. Aside from the Right of Way problems, the progress has been very fast and most of the lines has already been built. The only thing left really is buying privately owned land to complete the Rail yards and depots.
The MRT and LRT were projects made with the cooperation of the government of Japan and JICA. It's posted inside the station. In Japan and the Philippines, you cannot ride without paying. In Toronto, Ontario, Canada, many people don't pay. They don't have a security system in place to catch those who don't pay up. When I made a mistake in the line for Diver City, the station attendant figured it out and corrected the error in my PASMO.

The Philippines has the best rail system in Asia second only to Japan before World War II. After the war the Philippines turned to surplus U.S. Military jeeps which became the jeepney instead of rebuilding the Public train system. What if it was rebuilt instead of the jeepney? It's still one of the big "what ifs" to ponder.
