There is a book by Michael Ende in German called “Momo” and it is about the grey people who look like business men and steal time by making people committed to making their task miserable and only prioritizing profit. I get the idea behind an NFT, as its "meant" to physicalize/uniquify something that can be copy and pasted. However, the reality of the matter is: You may have a receipt of having brought a copy of something, dont mean you got the copy though. The receipt is useless without an item, and the item is infinitely copyable with no distingushment between the two copies. Even if the receipt says you own the contents of the copy. Which it dont. Its kinda like buying a receipt for something like a piece of art, but you dont know wherever or not the receipt is legit or wherever or not your reciept regardless of its legitimacy is even accepted. Heck, i own a totally legit receipt, one that is completely physical i may add, for the very receipt that i own. (The same one infact). Thats basically what an NFT is. Exept its digital and you can: Guess what: Copy and paste the receipt itself. (Or delete it in which case its gone unless someone has a copy of said receipt in which case, they own it now ... or they sell said receipt after copying it off you)
