Seeing Kaleo live was absolutely riveting. Chilling performance all the way through. Didnt interact with the crowd much, just showed up and fucking DESTROYED their whole set with so much passion and then dipped. Literally was so surreal. Never seen a band show up so damn ready to get down to business and execute at the highest level possible. I really need to see them again. They are one of those bands that is just an unmatched gem in the music industry. Entirely unproblematic, EVERY song is a banger, extremely versatile. A lucky gift in entertainment. Only once in a blue moon does a band as perfect as Kaleo come along.

Lyrics: The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free Oh, the devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free I've been down, deep Texas Mississippi state Hoping things might go my way For every hard earned dollar I make There stands a white man just to take it away Some might say I talk loud, see if I care Unlike them, don't walk away from my fear I've busted bones, broken stones, looked the devil in the eye I hope he's going to break these chains, oh yeah The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free (Yeah, set me free) Another hard day, no water, no rest I saw my chance, so I got him at last I took his six shooter, put two in his chest He'll never say a word no more Oh, he'll never say a word no more The devil got him good for sure Ain't got no place to call a home Only chains and broken bones Ain't got no place to call a home So come on Lord, won't you take me now? Ain't got no place to call a home Only chains and broken bones Ain't got no place to call a home So come on Lord, what you waiting for? Oh, the devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free The devil's going to make me a free man The devil's going to set me free Ain't got no place to call a home (The devil's going to make me a free man) Only chains and broken bones (The devil's going to set me free) Ain't got no place to call a home (The devil's going to make me a free man) So come on Lord, won't you take me now? (The devil's going to set me free) Ain't got no place to call a home (The devil's going to make me a free man) Only chains and broken bones (The devil's going to set me free) Ain't got no place to call a home (The devil's going to make me a free man) So come on Lord, what you waiting for? This is what our generation needs, some good blues artists and songs. Perhaps without the somewhat disturbing lyrics.
@jachavez766 жыл бұрын
Shaun Ethan C. Phangcho - I agree with you except regarding the lyrics. If the lyrics are written from or about that era in history, I think this generation should hear it. This way they can truly understand what one's life was. But I also understand where you are coming from as well.

It is a great surprise that the best Blues and Bluegrass bands that I have heard for a long time came from the far north of Europe. Kaleo and Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra!

I really do enjoy the style of this piece. blues really touches the soul if you listen to it, and I'm talking chants with a harp. it is small, simple, and has a ton of meaning, that to me, is what makes it beautiful. I honestly wish there were more pieces like this, that followed the simple ways of music. very beautiful.
