Got the Kali LP-6s as my forst studio monitora and they are amazing. The sound is spectacular, the soundstage is awesome, there is depth to the sound and they are flat but not uncomfortably flat. And for those interested in the infamous "hiss", almost every active studio monitor hisses but the Kalis are so silent that you can barely hear it, especially if you use the XLR balanced cables. Cheers!

Love the philosophy of this company! I just recently bought the Focal Alpha 50's because there was no way for me to hear the Kali's here in Australia. They have since come into the country and I'm feeling a little bit of buyers remorse! haha

I got the lp6 yesterday and they sound amazing in my untreated room. The bass is solid and doesn't blast the wall behind them.

they are awesome monitors from what ive heard and seen, their gonna be my first monitors so im glad that i came across them other wise i was gonna either get the krk 5s g4 or the jbl lsr305mk2 lol...the jbs have a dip in the mids and dont have as much bass as the kalis ansd the kalis on the freq chart are flatter so im super confident in this purchase they also look better the the jbl mk2s

@@tvcent4651 I'm on the fence to get this Kali LP 6 as well. I already ordered the KRK but I still have the chance to cancel it, my main concern is the hiss of the kali. Did you hear any hiss on this kali?

@@ChrisKeyman I canceled the KRK and got the LP-6. Best decision I ever made, yes there is hiss on the LP-6 but it's not really a major problem since the music will mass out the hiss.

Awaiting lp6's delivery, just know they're better than my £140 40w pa system (QT8) done lovely stuff with the QT8's, will be better with lp6's.

My KRK RP6's developed a horrendous buzz in them and I've been mixing on headphones for a while now. I've got a big audio post and video project coming up soon, so I pulled the trigger on a pair of these. They're on the FedEx truck for delivery this morning. Can't wait to fire them up! EDIT: I've done a handful of mixes on them already. Great set of monitors (even before taking into account how relatively inexpensive they are)!

@@thlee3 They are excellent! I just finished mixing audio for a video project I am working on. I am very happy with them. They have a little better low extension than the KRK's did.

@@thlee3 I don't hear any hiss in the monitors, at least a disruptive level., but YMMV. I am a nearly life long drummer and guitarist, so I live with a little hiss all day every day.

How bout placing an AMT instead of the soft dome,within the midrange driver,add an opposing woofer at the back,and then seal the front port,on the IN 8's?I guess that would be v3 perfected!...After years of listening to so many brands,my eyes are set on the IN 8's.A Neumann set would cost me $4000 here in India.The IN 8's are up for $1200.A sure no-brainer!

@@dannykedose It basically means that the speakers won't automatically go to "sleep" if they're not in use. I believe it was the cause of some audible hissing that a lot of people were complaining about.

if u play bass forget these speakers...alot of hiss ...and for sound design is even worse...this may work for mixing and composing acoustic music, for electronic music the hissing is unbearable if u can ear it 1 m away :S

The Hiss Masters! An $800.00 pair of speakers should not have any noise when powered up! My Mackie MR524's and HR824's have no noise. Kali Audio states that they have that noise to keep the cost down? My Mackie MR524' only cost $340.00 and have no noise when powered up! That's a line of BS that they can not produce a speaker for that price with out a noise filter that virtually cost nothing. Capacitors cost pennies!
