Kali Ilustrisimo: Defondo solo form (Class 10/20/19)

Hey there! Would you say that the “Secrets of Kali Ilustrisimo” book should be used more as an aid of training? Or can I expect to actually gain some more skills? Ive never read it yet, but im looking to hopefully learn some more stuff. Ive learnt the basics and a few techniques from an old teacher, but unfortunately theres nobody teaching KI where I live now.

A book, just as these videos, is just a supplement to your normal training. I would view the book as more of an overview of the system and some of its attributes rather than as a way to learn actual techniques (although there are specific techniques and footwork discussed and illustrated in the book).

This is as Kali Ilustrisimo was taught by the late GM Topher Ricketts, and there is video of Tatang Ilustrisimo doing these movements. So yes, Kali Ilustrisimo does utilize these movements.
