I've seen several other tomahawk "how to" videos before this one. This is the first one that has any realistic technique to it. Good job!

Scotts wince of pain when you brought the trainer hawk around him demonstrates the effectiveness of that move. Had you been using real weapons and a real fight, the move would have been pretty devastating! Always glad to see tomahawk training videos! Thanks

Love this. One of the few technical, professionally done, and well -explained martial art vids on youtube imo. You see a lot of self-insistant crap, this isn't.

Hey thanks for this vid! I have a tomahawk that I took to Iraq with me.... I never had occasion to use it (thank God) but I wasn't sure how I was going to use it if it came down to it. I figured just hacking away with it, which might have worked at the time. But now that I've more time on my hands, I'd like to learn to use it intelligently. I've been looking at learning Kali. It seems practical and effective. The only time a fight should be fair is after you've won IMO.

I have one problem.I like the tomahawk, for a couple of reasons but my one problem is that it seems that it is not a weapon that can stand on its own. I have seen a couple of video's and in most there is a knife with the tomahawk. Can I use it on its own. Will you be able to post a video where you use only the tomahawk.??Nice video. Love it.

+Albert Van Rooyen That is a valid problem, and that's why most tomahawk users use a secondary weapon with it. If you went weapon to weapon, the tomahawk needs a secondary weapon. Especially against swords or other quick moving weapons. If you use the tomahawk against an unarmed opponent, it works well without a secondary weapon, and you could always use your empty hand to help strike and assist. I'm not sure when, but'll I'll make a future video using just the tomahawk. Thanks for watching!
