I just want to say I am so happy and excited for the future of your nursery. It really warms my heart to see the way y’all grew and how involved the family got. It’s a beautiful thing. While watching your videos, I was always inspired and more motivated to go forth and open up my own nursery here in DeBary, FL. The nursery I used to work at closed down (long story) and I decided it was my time… to open up as my own nursery shortly a month after they closed. We had 28 days, the shortest month of the year, to turn the neglected place around. I was super nervous but now I am 1 month into a fully running plant nursery and more than blessed how things have been going. Thank you always for all of your content and information!

I saw Kali live on the CMIYGL tour with Tyler and I almost felt bad when she came out cause no one was cheering for the other openers (Teezo Touchdown and Vince Staples) like they were for Kali. I am a big fan of the themes underlying most of her songs in Isolation - survival (Your Teeth in My Neck), optimism (After The Storm) and existentialism (In My Dreams), etc. I guess those messages relate closely with her most recent life experiences at the time when those songs were written. After her debut was well-received by both the public and critics, songs in Sin Miedo and Red Moon in Venus started taking on motifs of sex, love, breakup and pleasure, which is a significant departure from what I can most strongly connect to in her debut. You can really read (or listen) into the trials and stages of life she lives through through her work. Thankfully, she is a brilliant artiste (vocally) and songwriter (production), so her recent output still sounds (melodies, arrangements and rhythms) just as great. Her lyrics and the things she writes about aside, this interview has given me a newfound respect for Kali, especially given her humble origins.
