After listening to the lecture, I got the shakuntalam from nirnayasagar and chaukhamba editions for the sake of reading with two different sanskrit commentaries. There are some pada prayoga differences in some shlokas in these two editions yet very intriguing. For me the most interesting part is the Priyamvadha and Vidhusaka dialogues. It feels like they are very close to our modern times in their way of speech and quick wit. Thank you for inspiring me to go back and read the book.
