Good to see you again. I suggest Wayne use his duck only on flat, summer days. Keep safe out there Wayne

Im a huge fan of fishing. My wife doesn't get excited at all 😂 I showed her this 'video to let her see how men are at their happiest in the most simple and primitive of setups. I got the eye roll 😂😂😂 Love your videos Uncle T. You got me buying fishing gear all over again

Fantastic buddy. Even a bad day is good...lol. it's about the catch but mostly the outdoors, good company, bad jokes and fish if we on like a scone. Hope you have massive success fishing again. Good old vitamin sea. Thx for the support.

Fished off that pier in the 80's and went out with old Eddie who had a boat. Caught a lot of fish then such as Geelbek and Snook. Also Fished the Strandfontein beach and decent elf/shad plus big Steenbras around midnight when it was fairly safe from the skollies. Kyalitcha was just a heap of sand! Great days before SA was screwed up. Miss it all after 15 years of living in Cape Town and surrounds. Lekker bly. Vaare rooinek.

@@terencesimpson100 Hi Terence. I went to live in Havana, Cuba after CPT. Had 15 years there too catching Blue Marlin, Grouper, Red Snapper. A real aquarium, unspoilt as the Americans have been kept out since 1959!

@robinwalton-gm5ms nothing like holiday back in Cape Town. Let's go. Come wet a line Robin.

@@terencesimpson100 Good idea. Going to end up in Mexico as Cuba is also screwed up now. Monster grouper there! Will make a turn by Cape Town before I fall off the perch!! Still have a lot of friends there. By the way I was a big fan of the beach at Koegel Bay and fished it alone religiously for years, caught nothing except sharks. One Sunday at 10am was just packing up and hooked a very big White Steenbras, couldn't believe it. Arniston was another place which yielded kob and shad. Fished with Jock Dichmont on his boat ex diamond diver in Namibia) who used to own the Arniston Hotel and Bar before it was modernized. Fishing. Wild days catching big Red Roman, Geelbek and yellow tail. Fishing tales from Skeleton Coast to Cape Vidal with folks who mostly are no more. We had a construction project in Maputo 6 years ago. Using borrowed equipment from an SA ou there caught nice spotted grunter off the side. Happy days jong!

Good old Kalk Bay. Nothing seems to have changed in the eight years I've been gone. Still recognise some regulars faces.

Love the area. Still trendy street shops, coffee/restaurant, and a popular tourist hotspot. Thx for watching Jacques. Appreciate the support. Oh and Kalkies fish and chips. Lekker.

@@terencesimpson100 Nah I used to take my tourists to Kalkies and I can't care less for trendy. If the fishing was bad I'd rather buy a fish off a boat and go Braai it at home. 😂

I have caught plenty of octopus and crayfish in the harbour. My favorite bait will always be prawn. Never met a fish that does not like it.

Yes, prawn is king. Any live bait will entice them. I too have kreef at kalk bay. A big one too.
