Stuart needed some salt spray and Stephen and Mickey joined him. Johan turned up with a GoPro and the fun started. Super neat edit and one way to help process the loss of a loved one.

Seems to be a dying sport. No young'uns?

We have keen competition in the 20 to 30 year age group. And a couple in their teens. But sadly it is a dying sport

@@kneeboardtorque5971 Was a kneelo myself back in the day. And a boogie board. No comparison for me. Boogie board is what children learn on.

@@ahmadfordham4630 I started on a Kneeboard and the sport changed my life. The 70s were a time of miracles and wonder. There was no one to teach us and waves were being discovering up and down the South African coastline for anyone who really looked hard. Cave Rock, the South Coast points, Ballito and Tongaat were my playgrounds. It does make me feel sorry for the modern kid. They get crowds, attitudes, surf schools and phone apps. I mainly try to tell a stories of the guys still actively involved. Thanks for watching my channel

Modern thrusters let everyone rip. Kneeboarding evolved out of the limitations of stand up boards of that era. My mates were riding 6"10ish" single fin pintails and I could take off later, deeper and get tubed much more on a kneeboard than most of them ever experienced. I ended up moving to an area that was lacking in the powerful waves kneeboards thrive in so got took up mal riding for the smaller days which was a heap of fun, but anytime it was tubing and over 4' was kneeboard time 100%
