Bro don't take it any other way.. no one is trying to antagonise sri krishana or arjuna.. everyone knows Arjuna along side god krishna is invincible but to exapnd the movie plot and a potential counter to gandeeb(which now yaskin have) they has to showcase vijaya bow as superior. And those who doesn't know about the mahabharata plot would think how come a mortal like karn even defeat God himself.. so they showcased his powers. And don't forget in the original mahabharata also kouraba had all the best warriors(karn is one of them) and pandavas only had arjuna and krishna.
