I don't understand why people are upset about pure breads...not all pure breads come from puppy farms, there are reputable breeders out there that you can find. I'm actually seriously considering getting a Norwich terrier and have the names of two breeders I can talk to. I'm not going to have anything to do with "puppy farms".

I've had pound and street puppies, most of my life. This Christmas, I received my "Hoffy", a beautiful Norwich Terrier. I'm absolutely thrilled with him, and I don't feel guilty about choosing this fabulous pure bred pup. I've done my share of providing dogs with a happy home....he needed a home, too. Mariaeditha is right; it's the owners, not the breed.

cairn's are awesome...i would buy from a reputable breeder any day of the week...bloodlines are kept in tact...pet stores are one of the worst places to buy animals from...(i m not saying all pet stores...just ones that i have come in contact with)

Calling people idiots is hardly a way to get your message across. You are rude. You need to realize that buying from a responsable breeder is not bad I am sick of people trying to punish everyone for wanting a pure bred dog. Sometimes people want to know what they are getting and the temperment of the animial. Getting a shelter dog sounds all nobal but when you get the dog home and realize the mix of that animal does not fit your lifestyle you end up right where you started. You get a grip.
