The tower of the Kallio church is an amazing place to visit. You can get to the tower with guided tours for a fee. Allowed only for people over 18 years old.
In 1911, Jean Sibelius made a chorale tune (bell tune). The tune is still played daily at 12 noon and 6 p.m.
The church designed by Lars Sonck was built between 1908 and 1912. The church is 64 meters high and the top of the cross is 94 meters above sea level.
The stairs go up the wall of the Kallio church tower. The church tower has four viewing platforms in different directions. There are seven church bells in the tower.
