I just found this video! I love Kalmah and just did my own ranking earlier this year. I agree they are tough to order because nothing disappoints. Hahaha, wow indeed your ranking is so different than mine, you’re more into their second period. I discovered the band when They Will Return was announced and Swamplord impressed me so much back then! Maybe nostalgia is a big part of my ranking, can’t say but the whole discography is worth listening on repeat 🖤

For me, The Black Waltz is the weakest album. It has some of their best songs, but overall it's kind of boring at times. There's some filler tracks and the vocals are a bit too monotonic

I love the production of The Black Waltz and some of the songs are amazing but you’re right, some of them are more average for their standard. I also think the vocal is monotonous, only one dimension still kicking ass though. However, the best tracks on it make this album better for me then some others. Very consistent discography! Do you know bands like Primalfrost, Crepuscle and Sylvatica in the same vein ?
