Kalomira: Greece Eurovision 2008 (Third Place) -- "Secret Combination" REACTION

Kalomira placed third at Eurovision 2008 for Greece with the song "Secret Combination". With Cyprus reportedly in talks with the Greek-American singer for Eurovision 2021, I'm re-watching and reacting to her performance in Belgrade.

This Is the performance which made me a big fan of Eurovision. Back then I was 13 years old boy, who was living in a really small Bulgarian village. By chance I bumped into Eurovision on the TV and made me to believe in the spirit of togetherness. Still the magic is here. "Dare to dream🔥"

At times we greeks get competitive and eager for the Eurovision win but with Kalomira we were all like "girl plz don't be sad you didn't win, we are all so proud of you no matter what". And that confirms all your hunches about her, she's a special soul.

Years ago I really didn't enjoy this. I remember being rooting for Ukraine, Sweden or Norway for the winning. I think this performance was very girly back then, i think Eurovision 2008 was a bit more mature (in eurovision terms), it felt flat when compared to Armenia which had a more fluid choreography and was more powerful. Ukraine was just prime time all the way. I was mad Russia won, i really didn't like the song and nothing has changed, i still don't like it. 12 years later and I really enjoy this entry, way more than i did in 2008 although I still prefer Ukraine.

Dima Bilan.. i still prefer the 2006 song "never let you go" . I guess they gave it to him in 2008 because Finland had robbed him 2006 i guess, but it's still the lesser of the 2. Secret Combination is ok, but i'm more drawn to Shady Lady.

I think she is sweet but all these years since she became famous in Greece, she has been trying to be wanna be Britney Spears, like she has built her career based on Britney everything. I think that's why she didn't go far bc , there is nothing new or wow to see in her!! Other than that, I think she is a sweet person
