Kalomira represented Greece in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Secret Combination'. Greece came in 3rd position in the grand final.

Χωρίς να το κάνω πολύ βαρύ το θέμα...Για μένα αυτη η συμμετοχή ήταν η καλύτερη συμμετοχή της Ελλάδας! (Εξαιρείται η Άννα Βίσση που ήταν στην Ελλάδα), αλλά για μένα αυτό με την Καλομοίρα ήταν καλύτερο και απο αυτό της αγαπημένης Έλενας Παπαρίζου! Αυτό το οπτικό θέαμα σε κρατάει περισσότερο γιατί έχει κέφι, ζωντάνια και ξεσηκώνει!

Ούτε καν. Δε λέω καλό είναι αλλά δε συγκρίνεται με την Παπαρίζου το 2005, ούτε τα ρούχα, ούτε η χορογραφία και ούτε το τραγούδι. Τα ρούχα ναι μεν ήταν της μόδας εκείνη την εποχή αλλά θα ξερνούσα αν τα έβλεπα σήμερα ενώ της Παπαρίζου αντέχεται. Επίσης είχε πολλά πράγματα από την ελληνική κουλτούρα (όπως πχ τη λύρα) και παρουσίαζε με έναν πολύ ωραίο και μοντέρνο τρόπο την ελληνική παράδοση χωρίς να το παρακάνει και στα όρια της eurovision. Όταν όμως κοιτάμε το secret combination δεν είχε τίποτα απ'όλα αυτά, βασικά η μουσική στην αρχή νόμιζα ότι ήταν από μέση Ανατολή. Τεσπα σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά δεδομένα (και τη γνώμη μου βασικά λολ) φαντάζει τριτοδεύτερη και κριντζ σε σχέση με της Παπαρίζου. Δε θέλω να κάνω χειτ αλλά δεν μπορώ να ακούω ότι η Καλομοίρα είχε την καλύτερη συμμετοχή. Ας μην ξεχνάμε τα παλιά τραγούδια (πχ άνοιξη) ή τον Ρουβά ή ακόμα και άλλες συμμετοχές που δεν έχουν αρκετό κρεντιτ. (ΕΙΛΙΚΡΙΝΑ ΔΕΝ ΞΕΡΩ ΓΙΑΤΙ ΚΑΘΙΣΑ ΝΑ ΤΟ ΓΡΑΨΩ ΟΛΟ ΑΥΤΟ ΣΥΓΓΝΏΜΗΗΗ 😭)

I first heard this song when i was ten and was on a vacation to Greece. I heard it on the radio and later found out it was the song for the Eurovision. I liked this song sooo much back then and now I listen to this again nine years later and I again love it that much as I did when I was younger. Remember this after nearly 15 years and it's a real bop - very catchy! I love that it's infused with Greek elements too and the lyric "to win a destination at the centre of my heart". It reminds me of many ABBA lyrics that make perfect grammatical sense even if you'd never hear them from a native English speaker - I think it's charming :)

Svi smo mi na, Balkanu izmesani ti ja svi mi...Ja sam Srbin ali izgledam kao Italija ili Grk.. Za sebe kazem da sam,, Sloven" Samo iz razloga jezickih jednakosti.. Grci su narod koji vole originalnost, zato nas Srbe i vole jer smo zivahni.. Ludi.. Domacini(ne svi, opet mesa e nacije).. I jer smo ih odbranili od Austro-Ugara.. I Istorija..Oni ukratko postuju Autoritet.. To je dokaz kad su ljudi u zemlji ozbiljni.. Ja postujem i nemam problem sa zemljama u dijaspori.. Ali moje licno misljenje je da ste trebali da ostanete u sastavu Jugoslavije.. Ili ako je samo Makedonija u pitanju.. U sastavu Srbije jer je to istorijsko područje Srpskih kraljeva.. Jedan od njih se nalazi u centru Skoplja a to je car Dusan Silni.. Tu je krunisan.. Evo mala istorijska lekcija od strane pouzdanih izvora..

Ότι δηλαδή η Καλομοίρα είπε ότι το έστησαν για να μην το πάρει η Καλομοίρα γιατί δεν θέλαμε να διοργανώσουμε; Δε χρειάζεται ο νικητής να διοργανώσει την επόμενη χρονιά, πάντα θα υπάρχει κάποιος πρόθυμος να διοργανώσει. Συμφωνώ πάντως ότι έπρεπε να κερδίσει και αυτή όπως και οι Antique το 2001 αλλά όχι και να το ρίχνουμε στη συνωμοσιολογία.
