The Yugas are unclear and I don't think they should be. I've said this again and again. Sadguru says one thing. another guru says a different thing.A third guru will say the yugas only exist subjectively. I think Sadhguru's take on the yugas is the one I currently believe the most, and that I think may be based on Sri Yukteshwar's info about the Yuga's which I haven't read in his Holy Science book. I need to read that, but, according to my understanding, Sadguru says the Yugas are a 25,000 ish... year cycle of an eliptical orbit of our solar system around a sister star system which would be the Sirius Star System. The closer our solar system is in this orbit to our sister star system, the better our consciousness and quality of existence, which would kind of make sense. The thing about this is that no one has ever mentioned that our solar system revolves aorund a sister star system before. So this makes sense, I just think something this important about our solar system would have been mentioned before. You're talking more about qualities of consciousness related to which yuga you're in, which is interesting too, but I want to get down to what exactly is causing the Yugas and which one are we really in? If it's all subjective, then that doesn't matter.

​@@vamshikrishna7363 True, reading and hearing about things that may be different from common understanding is a great way to broaden your mind and to see things from a different perspective. Often this happens when I consult the I ching about a problem. The answer at least causes me to look at the problem in a different way. I have kind of a game that I like to play in which I take a common question that someone might ask a guru. I find a video on it , but before the question is asked to the guru, I try to answer it myself. Then listen to the guru answer and see how your own understanding is similar or different.
