Dude. For a guy who was built like a linebacker playing safety and renowned as a run stopper, he possessed some adequate coverage skills and ball hawking ability.

Rather than the Superbowl interception, I would have put the play when Demaryius Thomas caught his first pass across the middle. It was a bread and butter play for the Broncos, but in this case Kam laid the lumber, and Thomas landed about five yards back. Sure it was a gain of a couple yards, but from that point forward the Denver receivers were timid for fear of being slammed into next week. They completed an outrageous number of passes, but they were almost all short yardage efforts that netted them all of one touchdown.

I was going to argue that your #2 should have been your #1, but then I saw what you had for #1, and thought...okay. I can live with that. But it could go either way. I miss seeing Kam on the field. Thanks for the video.
@ChaoWalk5 жыл бұрын
Was thinking the same. No.2 is my favorite NFL hit period, that man's soul left and never came back completely. Kam has to retire though, failed physical this year and the neck injury seems permanent.

@@ChaoWalkI agree. I love that hit so much that I didn't think any other could top it...I'd completely forgotten about him punching out that ball, and what an incredible play it was. I'll say it again--I miss watching him play.

The fact we had Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor AND Earl Thomas working together, as well as Byron Maxwell and Jeremy Lane, was just amazing. We also had Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, a young Bruce Irvin, then the best two edge rushers Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett. And we passed at the 1 to avoid becoming a dynasty.
@swath50492 жыл бұрын
The secondary was great but what made this team elite was the offensive and defensive line. Sadly when things are going really well those spots get the least attention. Manning was smothered because the line was in his face all day. Our offense was dominant on the ground with a legendary back and the highest paid offensive line in the league. They had to pay people and failed to really develop guys on the line that haven't left. No line. No run game. Qb scrambling for life. No d line. No pressure. Secondary looks like a joke.

What do you mean? He wasn’t the best in coverage but look how many picks he has, that says something. He didn’t need to be amazing in coverage because of the role he played in the Seattle defense, he was more of the big hitter, aggressive strong safety while earl was flying from one end of the field to the other
